Watercooling using a closeby river

[Build Help] I'm a future owner of a bitcoin mining card which will suck in some ~1kw of power, and the idea of having loud fans near me disgusts me. The card i will soon own comes with watercooling (a BFL imperial monarch) and comes with an unspecified pump. The computer that will house the card is right next to a hole in the wall which leads directly to a river, about 1.5 meters vertically down from the hole. I am thinking about letting the radiator dangle down to the water, which is a slowly flowing river which has a fair amount of dirt and gunk in it, but is never warm and as such an infinite and free supply of coldness. I am wondering if this is a good idea in the first place, and if so, what kind of radiator would you use? To be clear, i want the water to be a closed loop and not pull in water from the river, but to use the river instead of a fan on the radiator.
